In 2007 FELIX Bus Services celebrated 85 years as a bus and coach operator, having been established in Stanley Village in 1922, and named after the popular song of the day ‘Felix Kept on Walking’. Whilst the bus and coach industry has changed dramatically over the years, Felix remains a family run business striving to offer a professional and friendly service from our drivers and office staff alike. We are justifiably proud to have served the public in and around Ilkeston and Derby for over 80 years and to have maintained a high standard of quality, service and reliability. In addition to our bus service routes between Ilkeston and Derby for over 25 years we have been arranging our own coach holidays and day excursion programme. A list of this year’s holiday tours can be found below, with more details for each holiday to be found by clicking on the “Holidays” button above. Our coaches have a small pick up area focusing mainly on Derby City Centre, Chaddesden, Oakwood, Stanley and Stanley Common, West Hallam, Kirk Hallam and Ilkeston - no feeder coaches are used so that once you are on board, the tour begins. More recently we have started a second day excursion programme from Shipley, Langley Mill, Heanor, Loscoe, Codnor and Ripley. We are always happy to help with any coach hire bookings and we can provide groups with a tailor-made tour. We offer our coach hire customers a free booking service for theatre tickets, meals, hotel accommodation and many tourist attractions. It is also possible to make a small group booking on one of our day excursions if your club hasn’t enough members to fill a coach completely. As keen Derby County football supporters, we run a special bus service from Ilkeston to Pride Park Stadium for every league home match, afternoon or evening. We regularly take Heanor Branch of the Rams Supporters’ Club to away matches and they always welcome new supporters. You can contact them on heanor.rams@lycos.co.uk |
