LONDON WEEKEND staying at the Tower Hotel 12th - 14th November 2010 London boasts a combination of history, architecture, pageantry, exhibitions, theatre and fantastic shopping and restaurants - a perfect weekend break. The 4 star Guoman Tower Hotel (www.guoman.com) is located on the north Bank of the River Thames right beside Tower Bridge and the Tower of London, so perfect for exploring the historic landmarks on the riverside, both on foot or one of the many river cruises. The hotel also overlooks St. Katherine's Dock, a unique waterside location in the centre of London. Rooms are welcoming, relaxing & furnished with every comfort and convenience including flat-screen TV, wireless internet access, air-conditioning & tea/coffee facilities. Full English breakfast is included in your holiday price and you can buy lunch or dinner from the Brasserie, the Gallery or Xi Bar. The number 15 bus travels from Tower Hill, Tower of London, every ten minutes until midnight. It travels along the Strand, Trafalgar Square, Regent Street and past Oxford Street. (www.tfl.gov.uk) - Remember if you show a Derbyshire Gold Card you can travel on London buses for free, but not the Tube. The nearest tube station is Tower Hill on the Circle Line. Friday 12th November Depart approximately 8.00am and travel to London. We shall drop off in central London for your own shopping and sightseeing and then collect you at approx. 4.00pm for the coach transfer to the Tower Hotel. Free evening. Saturday 13th November Depart hotel 9.30am for coach transfer into central London. Free time for your own shopping and sightseeing. Coach return from central London at 9.00pm. Sunday 14th November Free day in London for your own sight seeing - you could visit the Tower of London, stroll down the south bank to the Tate Modern or enjoy a River Thames cruise. Your luggage can be left securely at the hotel once you have checked out. The coach departs the hotel at 4.30pm for the journey home.
